How wagering requirements work

A requirement of 30x on a bonus means the bonus amount must be staked thirty times before the balance can be withdrawn. It is a turnover figure, not a loss figure — but turnover costs money at any house edge.

• The multiplier — how many times the amount must be staked
• Whether it applies to the bonus alone or bonus plus deposit
• Game weighting, which decides how much each bet counts
• The expiry window

Game weighting is the detail people miss

Slots usually count fully toward wagering. Table games often count at a fraction, sometimes as little as ten percent, which quietly multiplies the turnover needed.

A generous headline rate with heavy weighting rules can be worth less than a modest one with none.

Expiry is a hard stop

Unmet wagering at expiry usually forfeits the bonus and anything won from it. The window is the constraint that turns a good offer into an unusable one.
