Responsible gaming

Gambling is entertainment with a cost. These are the controls that exist, and the signs that it is time to use them.

If gambling has stopped feeling like a choice, support is free, confidential and available now. Add the helplines for your operating jurisdictions here — for example BeGambleAware in the UK, or the national helpline where the licence is held.

The controls available

  • Deposit limits — a cap per day, week or month. Increases take effect after a delay; decreases apply immediately.
  • Loss limits — a ceiling on net losses over a period.
  • Session reminders — a prompt showing how long you have been playing.
  • Time-out — a short break, from 24 hours to several weeks.
  • Self-exclusion — closes access for a fixed minimum period and cannot be reversed early.

Signs worth taking seriously

  • Playing to win back what was lost
  • Staking more than was set aside for it
  • Borrowing, or selling things, to keep playing
  • Hiding how much time or money is going in
  • Playing to escape stress or low mood rather than for entertainment

How the odds actually work

Every game carries a built-in margin. Over enough play the result converges on that margin, and no system, pattern or staking plan changes it. Individual sessions vary; the arithmetic does not.

Under 18

Gambling is prohibited for anyone under 18. Accounts found to belong to minors are closed and stakes returned.

Setting a limit

  1. Open account settings
  2. Choose the limit type and the period
  3. Confirm — reductions apply straight away
